LYDD SUPER ONE

Andys frustrating run of bad luck continued into round 3 of the Super 1 championships, at Lydd International Raceway in Kent. After a strong performance in Friday's and Saturday's practice sessions, Andy was knocked off in the heats to line up a disappointing 26th on the grid in the 'A' Final. From there he made a fantastic start, and made progress up to 13th place, passing the new lap record holder, before being deliberately sent into the tyre wall by another driver. Andy restarted and finished a lap down on the leaders.

Andy was less than impressed with the result. 'It's really frustrating how some drivers cannot race cleanly like racers at this level should be able to do. Thankfully the incident was noticed by the officials and the driver responsible for ending my race was dealt with in the appropriate manner.'

Andy still remains optimistic that he can continue his good run of pace, however, into round 4, held at Warden Law in July.
