Disappointing 2 weekends for Andy

Andy’s luck changed from good to bad this month as Buckmore Super 1 approached. After a slow start in practice being singled out to a faulty batch of tyres, Andy continued to suffer from a lack of pace during Sunday's racing and was lucky to squeeze onto the back of the A final. Andy’s weekend finished with a slight improvement of pace and 23rd in the Final, leaving him in a disappointing 27th in the series standings.
The TKM Platinum Cup at 3 Sisters was an even worse round for Andy, very quick in Saturday practice, he was wiped out of 2nd place in heat 1. From then on Andy never recovered, a moving axle paying towards Andy’s early retirement from the back in the final, meaning he was forced into 2nd in the Winter Series, James Duxbury taking the race win and series honours by a comfortable margin.
